Kool Beanz Café

Kool Beanz Café is not your typical coffee place. Just by its name, you will know that there is something hip and cool about it. This café’s interior is everything but dull, from its funky walls to the unique art, this café is really something. Their menu doesn’t fall short of creativity as well. They don’t only offer coffee, but there’s beer, wine, smokey corn crab, and the crowd-favorite, coconut meringue layer cake.

Sage Restaurant

Sage Restaurant is an excellent example of east meets west when it comes to cuisine. They have unique Panko encrusted Louisiana catfish with kimchi and fried green tomato- a great fusion of Korea, Japan, and Florida. Aside from the great food, they also have outstanding service that adds to the fun experience.

Lofty Pursuits

The Lofty Pursuits is not the only breakfast spots in Tallahassee, but it is one of the most remarkable. They offer the usual breakfast favorites, but they have a soda fountain, vast selection of waffles, and milkshake—and ice cream as well. You would want to stop by Lofty Pursuits even after breakfast time to get a taste of their unique flavors. Did we mention about their yoyo museum, Haiku vending machine, and a vintage wall mounted rotary dial payphone? These things make your stay in Lofty Pursuits even more exciting.

The Edison

The Edison was converted into a unique eatery from a state-of-the-art power plant. It has a spacious deck for people who appreciate al fresco dining. It has a quasi-industrial design, perfect for their wine vents and just right to let you see the beautiful Cascade Park outside. They’re simple, yet satisfying menu includes sweet potato fries and a mouth-watering lobster roll filled with generous meaty chunks.

Cypress Restaurant

If you are not on a budget, you should try the contemporary high-end Cypress Restaurant that offers delectable cuisines from local produce, meat, and seafood. Their Sugar Cane Mopped Beef Ribeye and Grilled Cobia Paella are must-try. Forget about your diet and indulge in their Southern Pecan Pie Turnover. You will love the relaxing vibe here, and you would want to come back the next day again.

Canopy Café

Canopy Café has three locations in town, and they all serve extensive breakfast menus. You can have your healthy selections or go for the more unusual dishes. Have a taste of their unique sweet potato pancakes or their Country Scramble, or the Country Fried Steak. Canopy Café is all bright and exciting, but you will never feel rushed, and we all love that. When it comes to breakfasts in Tallahassee, Canopy Café is an institution.
